With the growing awareness of cryptocurrency among the masses, one question comes to mind. Does your Church Accept Bitcoin? The answer for an increasing number of houses of worship may surprise you.

I grew up in a very religious family, with generations of leaders running their own churches. It became quite normal to see my grandfather send the collection plate around a second or even third time if he deemed the donations insufficient. Getting to "peek behind the curtain" and seeing "OZ" at work as a family member was illuminating, to say the least. However, there was something to this twice a week ritual of piling dollars, checks and coins on that platter for everyone to see.

Bitcoin in church

It was bound to happen. Now we learn of churches accepting bitcoin. I wrote in my last post, about the new VIBES token built around the love of music. I can see other organizations entering the field, such as when the church of St. John the Evangelist, became the first Catholic church to accept Bitcoin.

The good thing about this since religion is the bond that brings communities together, faith in the power of crypto will prompt the growing acceptance of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. With coronavirus closures still in effect, electronic media is seen as the safest way to attend worship services. A major holdout appears to be the Russian Orthodox Church, which will have nothing to do with accepting donations in crypto.

However, that's not stopping others, including the Salvation Army USA Western Territory, which will accept crypto offerings in Bitcoin and 25 other crypto tokens, though the Engiven platform. Victory Life Church, with locations in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas, accepts "asset based giving" in: BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC and USDC.

So for those of you waiting for the crypto revolution to arrive, it's already here and being televised. Houses of worship will become fertile fields in growing a flock of believers in the utility of cryptocurrency. The only question left to ask is: Does your church accept Bitcoin?

Thank You So Much!
