I think it depends. Surely that's the general rule but for example if you work 8 hours full remotely let's say, it doesn't mean that the remaining hours you are alone at home without interacting with anyone. You may go out with friends, family, girlfriend, have a hobby or some team-activity like a sport or something. So you have human interaction everyday!
Also, in some companies, you may don't have a good relationship with some of your colleagues, or you may be more productive by yourself or more simple things like tight office space that makes everyone uncomfortable! In general though yes we need human interaction!
