First up, welcome to Hive :)

Let me try and answer the 2 questions you have.

Still trying to figure out why there are so many front-end websites all doing the same thing

The layers of Hive rewards

Try to think about Hive and the different tokens you can earn in terms of layers.

Layer 1 - HIVE rewards Layer 2 - Community token rewards like LEO, CTP, SPT

No matter which front-end you use to post, you will always earn HIVE at the base layer.

But by posting via community front-ends (or tagging them), you will also earn layer-2 community tokens on top of your HIVE.

So for example I posted this post via leofinance.

When I receive an upvote, I will first earn HIVE rewards depending on how much HIVE the voter has powered up (staked).

But as I'm using LeoFinance, I will also earn LEO rewards depending on how much LEO the voter has staked.

Front ends simply display/organise content differently

Front-ends and the ability to earn these layered rewards show the real power of Hive's Web3 ecosystem.

leofinance.io chooses to organise content depending on how popular it is amongst voters with LEO staked.

But that is completely different to how ecency organises it via how popular it is amongst voters with HIVE staked.

The content on your account is the same, but front-ends just use different metrics to display and organise it.

This becomes super powerful when it comes to censorship-resistance because if 1 front-end doesn't display your content for whatever reason, you always have the opportunity to use another.

All front-ends are doing is displaying content published on the Hive blockchain in a way that works for them.

(and my voting power is showing 0 for LEO while a few cents on Ecency)

How much your upvote is worth

This all depends on how much of each token you personally have staked.

I can see in your wallet that you have 1,184.104 HP (staked HIVE), but you have zero LEO staked.

This means that when you upvote this blog for example, your HIVE upvote will be much bigger than your LEO vote.

Remember, ecency organises content via HP, so shows your upvote in terms of HIVE.

On the other hand LeoFinance organises content via LEO POWER, so shows your upvote in terms of LEO.
