It was kind of a shock for me too that they adjusted the tipping. I received about $0.75 every day and kept 50% of it. I also had some large tippers on my posts.
I do see that since it's easier to like that I still get quite some amounts on posts too and make ~0.70 each post.
But that is mostly because there are also $0.02, $0.03 and sometimes $0.04 tips.
These are randomly given, so it could be that a like on a great post gets $0.01. And a two word comment $0.04

I read somewhere that they would like to bring the amount back to $0.01 over time. That means I need to gather some more followers to compensate for that :D
