Knowing where you are at all times does help

I definitely agree with this and it's something I've not yet mastered. It always feel like it's 3 steps forward and 2 steps back for me. I'm still trying to settle on an overall plan. 

Things change so quickly in this world and I'm slow to catch up with them. 

I recently started using Binance, for example, after dragging my feet for months. But now, with all the problems they are facing, I can no longer send GBP straight from my bank account so I need to start researching again and find another exchange.

It could be a while. 
