Feliz de estar de nuevo por acá, con grandes posibilidades como esta de expresarnos libremente, recordar y transmitir emociones. Me uno a este nuevo reto de @rutablockchain en Leofinance; donde nos invitan a recordar nuestros comienzos financieros, el dinero en nuestra infancia. De donde surge la relación que tenemos con ese caudal llamado dinero. Y como lo vemos hoy, porque el Ser a medida que obtiene aprendizajes de vida debe ir amoldándolo a sus necesidades.

No es justo para nuestros padres, pasarnos nosotros una vida entera diciendo, ¨es que eso fue lo que vi en casa¨ ¨o fue lo que tú me enseñaste¨. Por un tiempo mientras eres adolescente puede ser! Ya luego a medida que adquieres madurez, tú mismo eres responsable de romper con tradiciones, creencia y costumbres que no te suman en positivo; para avanzar hacia tu felicidad.
It is not fair for our parents, to spend a lifetime saying, ¨That is what I saw at home¨ ¨ or it was what you taught me¨. For a while while you're a teenager it can be! Later, as you mature, you yourself are responsible for breaking with traditions, beliefs and customs that do not add positively to you; to move towards your happiness.
Romper con creencias incluye aquellas que no te llevan camino a la abundancia y a la prosperidad. Enfocarte en lo que deseas, conocer y reconocerte desde tu potencial, lograr para alcanzar tu prosperidad y paz.
Breaking beliefs includes those that do not lead you to abundance and prosperity. Focus on what you want, know and recognize yourself from your potential, achieve to achieve your prosperity and peace.
El primer recuerdo que me viene a la mente es mi alcancía del Banco Venezuela, la azul con blanco. Yo tenía una y mi hermano otra.
The first memory that comes to mind is my Banco Venezuela piggy bank, the blue one with white. I had one and my brother another. Banco Unión, which was the first one I had to save.
El dinero que allí ahorrábamos era el resultante de guardar algún pasaje de la semana, porque mi hermano y yo nos fuimos caminando al colegio para ahorrar el pasaje. Otra forma era acompañábamos a mi mamá al mercado y ella encontraba alguna oferta y el resultante de las monedas era para guardar en la alcancía. También los domingos mi papá compraba algunas chucherías a todos, y te preguntaba: ¿te compras la chuchería o te doy las monedas? y justo allí tomabas una gran decisión como niño.
The money that we saved there was the result of saving a passage for the week, because my brother and I walked to school to save the passage. Another way was we accompanied my mother to the market and she found an offer and the result of the coins was to keep in the piggy bank. Also on Sundays my dad would buy some trinkets for everyone, and he would ask you: can you buy the trinket or will I give you the coins? And right there you made a big decision as a child.
Usábamos esa alcancía porque nuestros padres tenían cuenta de ahorro en ese banco, y en algún momento del año les daban esas alcancía para los hijos.
We used that piggy bank because our parents had a savings account in that bank, and at some point of the year they would give those piggy banks for their children.
Luego tuvimos la alcancía del banco Unión, Tenía una forma de ¨U¨ y era de color marrón con roja. Al cabo de un tiempo esa misma alcancía la llevábamos al banco y allí se abría, al parecer era beneficioso para ellos llevar esas monedas para que ellos nos las cambiaran por billetes.
Then we had the Union bank piggy bank. It had a ¨U¨ shape and was brown with red. After a while, we would take that same piggy bank to the bank and there it would be opened, apparently it was beneficial for them to bring those coins so that they could exchange them for bills.
Otra manera de ahorrar en casa que recuerdo, es que mi madre era costurera, y se compraba la tela para hacernos la ropa, uniformes escolares y hasta los estrenos. En algunas ocasiones era algo incómodo porque como somos tres hembras y un varón; entonces las tres hembras teníamos la ropa con la mismísima tela un 24 o 31 de diciembre; cosa que sucedía muy a menudo. Por lo tanto no usábamos muchos pantalones jeans de ninguna marca. Hoy entiendo que era un amanera de ahorrar en vestimenta.
Another way to save at home that I remember is that my mother was a seamstress, and she bought the fabric to make clothes, school uniforms and even the premieres. On some occasions it was somewhat uncomfortable because since we are three females and one male; Then the three females had clothes with the very same fabric on December 24 or 31; which happened very often. La comida siempre fue muy restringida en casa, mi padre era latonero, viajaba constante para encontrar talleres donde trabajar; y mi madre en casa tampoco tenía mucha costura. Por ello a la hora de cocinar todo era bien medido, inclusive la única que cocinaba era mi mamá; ella decía no quiero que nada se vaya a quemar ni a perder. Entonces mis hermanas y yo aprendimos a cocinar ya cuando nos fuimos de casa a vivir a otro lado.
Food was always very restricted at home, my father was a brassier, he traveled constantly to find workshops to work; and my mother at home didn't have much sewing either. For this reason, when it came to cooking, everything was well measured, even the only one who cooked was my mother; she said I don't want anything to burn or lose. So my sisters and I learned to cook already when we left home to live elsewhere.
Cuando era ya casi una adolescente de unos 13 años, aprendí con una amiga a hacer algunas manualidades; recuerdo claramente que hacíamos adornos para pegar en las neveras y los vendíamos a bajos costos; esa época fue divertida, salíamos a comprar fieltros y cositas para adornar; fue nuestro primer negocio de pequeñas. Los primeros adornos que hacíamos eran unas clinejas o trenzas de mecate, las cuales encima llevaban adornos de cocina. Se vendían entre los vecinos del edificio.
When I was almost a teenager of about 13 years, I learned with a friend to do some crafts; I clearly remember that we made ornaments to stick on refrigerators and sold them at low costs; That time was fun, we went out to buy felt and things to decorate; it was our first small business. The first ornaments we made were clinejas or rope braids, which were topped with kitchen ornaments. They were sold among the residents of the building.
Luego ya cuando tenía 17 años y estaba casi por graduarme de bachiller aprendí a hacer tortas y gracias a esas ventas constantes tenía para el pasaje de mi universidad. Hacia tortas de chocolate, torta de pan, y tortas de quesillo. Por un tiempo también vendí galleticas sencillas; esas las llevaba a todos lados para venderlas. Recuerdo que un diciembre una vecina me prestó muchos moldes de navidad y vendí muchísimas galletas.
Later, when I was 17 years old and was almost about to graduate from high school, I learned to make cakes and thanks to those constant sales I had a passage to my university. Towards chocolate cakes, pancakes, and cheese cakes. For a time I also sold plain cookies; Those were carried everywhere to sell. I remember that one December a neighbor loaned me many Christmas molds and I sold many cookies.
Ya a partir de mis 18 años trabaje en diferentes lugares y hasta ahora esas han sido mis fuentes de ingreso.

A mis hijos siempre les enseño el valor de ahorrar, aunque desde hace algún tiempo ya no tenemos alcancía. Es importante ¨Al menos para mí¨ diferenciar entre la mezquindad y el ahorro, entre el reunir para obtener algo que deseas y ser feliz con ello. Porque en algún momento debes comenzar a reunir para tu propia casa y comodidad; Ese gran paso debe traerte felicidad y no grandes preocupaciones por adquirir deudas!.
I always teach my children the value of saving, although for some time we no longer have a piggy bank. It is important "at least for me" to differentiate between meanness and thrift, between gathering to get something you want and being happy with it. Because at some point you must begin to gather for your own home and comfort; That big step should bring you happiness and not great worries about acquiring debt!
La convivencia diaria nos permite enseñarles a nuestros hijos, como poco a poco la vida nos va encaminando hacia la prosperidad cuando vivimos desde el amor para la prosperidad. El dinero es imprescindible y nos trae bienestar, no debemos fomentar el rechazo hacia el dinero entre los niños; con expresiones como ¨arribista, interesado, aprovechado, oportunista¨. Nuestro trabajo tiene valor y por ello debemos recibir remuneraciones que hacen gratificante nuestras vidas.
Daily coexistence allows us to teach our children, how little by little life is leading us towards prosperity when we live from love for prosperity. Money is essential and brings us well-being, we must not encourage the rejection of money among children; with expressions like ¨ interested, profiteer, opportunist¨. Our work has value and therefore we must receive remuneration that makes our lives rewarding.
