Splinterlands :: Card Rental Income Got me my first 110 Tower Defense Packs & SPS Burn Idea - Burn $SPS for Claiming Rewards?

Yes, that's true my Splinterlands rental cards got me my first 110 Tower Defense Packs. I had been thinking for a quite a long time where to invest my reoccurring card rental passive income. My daily rental income is close to 10K+ DECs and it took me quite a lot of time to collect 500K+ DECs before I could finally make the purchase of Tower Defense Packs.
There was a point where I was confused which Splinterlands assets to buy. I have almost all the assets and the one missing was Tower Defense Packs. I did write about my thoughts in this post - Chaos Legion or Tower Defense Packs or $SPS? What Should I Buy?. And finally landed up buying the Tower Defense Packs. 110 packs of Tower defense Packs costed me 500K DECs, Plus 110 VOUCHER tokens.
The main factor that lead me to buy the Tower Defense Packs is because of the recent news around - SPS Governance Proposal - Reallocate SPS from Team Pool to TD Reward Pool and currently this is active and is givng out rewards in the form of Splintershards ($SPS). I am yet to receive the rewards for HOLDing the TD packs and hence not sure on the calculations as to how much $SPS, I would be receiving for 110 TD packs. But I am sure the rewards are going to be templating and I have already decided to further stake these $SPS and move further closer to my GOAL of having close to 200K+ $SPS staked.
Here is my current state of staked $SPS - another 30K+ $SPS to be acquired before I could say that the $SPS GOAL is accomplished. At one end the rental income is helping me build my Splinterlands assets and on the other side my staked $SPS rewards is overall building my portfolio here on Splinterlands.
Next Rental Income Target - CHAOS LEGION PACK & Cards...
My next target with my rental income is to buy some CHAOS LEGION PACK and also buy some CL cards from the internal market. But before I do this, I would like to see DEC get back to it $1 peg value which is 1000 DEC equating to $1. Until DECs regains back its peg it would not be a wise decision to buy the cards from the internal market. The recent - SPS Governance Proposal - Price Validator Node Licenses in DEC is one such step that should help DEC get back to its peg value of $1. I am positive about this proposal and feel that DECs should be allowed to buy the license nodes and am looking forward for the proposal to come out pretty soon.
SPS Burn Idea - Burn $SPS for Claiming Rewards...
Finally, I wanted to talk about this random idea on burning SPS. Just think that we have some $SPS set to be burnt for claiming the $SPS rewards. Every time a player/user claims the $SPS reward we have some $SPS burnt from the rewards being claimed. We definitely need more sink for $SPS and I guess burning $SPS in every transaction where $SPS is being claimed is going to bring in some good momentum towards the price of $SPS and at the same time make $SPS more scarce.. What do you think about this idea to burn $SPS for every claim of $SPS... let me know in the comment box below... I will talk more about this idea on burning $SPS in my upcoming post.. But this random thought of burning $SPS just came in and I thought to write about the same and see what other community members has to say about it.
