Yes, ETH has a lot of obstacles to be very nice blockchain. Maybe it is a first taker in crypto world, so it have had the advantage. In technical view, Hive seems to be a lot advanced, I believe in it. Step by step going forward I hope Hive would get good fruit in terms of investment and good human being society.
