@hallmann, Blow, Wind!, 2021

So the first step is done. I have bought my first NFT and I think a good one. "There is no accounting for taste" but… Lot of works that can be had as NFT are just some quick scribbles in Paint or something similar. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't think I feel like spending my money on it. On the other hand this picture has nostalgic or poetic quality about it that makes it interesting (it's part of Nostalgia collection). As the artist wrote

"Blow, Wind!" is inspired by a Latvian folk song with the same title ("Pūt vējiņi"), which is about unfulfilled love and longing for homeland.

If you haven't been to Latvia you will probably not feel it's atmosphere as well as I do. In fact Latvia is one of my favourite places, so I was glad to buy something Latvian.

Where will my collection go? I'm not quite sure yet. Maybe I shouldn't make any assumptions. I was a bit disapointed by lack of critical texts about NFTs. If there is market for this art there should be art critics. Maybe Google is not smart enough to find them, but I have found none. Do you know anybody whom you could call an NFT art critic? This guy will be incredibly important in couple of years, or maybe sooner, who knows.
