Microblogging On Hive New Add-Ons Has Taking Iteration To The Next Level

Short content writing and microblogging on hive is definitely here stay and there’s really nothing we can do about it. Thread has been created an avenue which has increased earnings and taking it to another level, and well there are some folks who thinks threads really don’t defines what blogging is all about.

The four Add-Ons which will we see in coming weeks are the Following Feeds, Lists, Muted tags and Trending/ New. Well a brief explanation was given how these features will function on threads and I can’t wait to see this a full action in coming days.

-Following Feed - users can click a feed where it shows only the Threads created by people they follow on Hive -Lists- users can create custom lists of Hive accounts to create basically a "following" feed but specific to those users (Twitter actually has a really good implementation of Lists) -Muted tags - if a user mutes a Hashtag (from their Settings page), they will no longer see any threads on the home feed with that hashtag -Trending / New - on the old UI we have trending / new feeds so users can filter between just showing the latest created Threads and then also showing Threads that have the highest # of comments. Currently on the old UI, it doesn't work 100% of the time. We need to rewrite this code and implement it on the new UI with the improved backend.
