Ask LEO: What Will #ProjectBlank Do For HIVE?

Most of us have heard (or read) at least one or two of the announcements of the announcements or the announcements of those announcements, and many of us are very eager to see #projectblank come into action. While @khaleelkazi and the @LeoFinance team has given us some information about this project, many things are still undisclosed. It feels like we have heard about this project for a long time, on a more or less daily basis, but the build up is incredible and smart. Weeks before the official launch, we speculate, discuss and we are going in circles around #projectblank.

We have been given some information about it, but most of the things are still pure speculation. The hype is real and the awaited #projectblank will be officially launched within a few weeks. Due to those things, I decided to make this post. I want to discuss and share my opinions & thoughts about it, and what I personally believe #projectblank will do for Hive.

What Will #ProjectBlank Do For HIVE?

I bet that at least some of you know how important I believe organic traffic and post-optimization is. That is the whole reason for the article I wrote that I have managed to rank on the first page of google. I want to take advantage of the traffic that is out there and I want to pull the traffic in our direction instead. That is, according to me, one of the key ingredients to make LeoFinance.io successful in the long haul.

When I first heard about #projectblank, I instantly believed that we would soon see another token on top of the LEO tokens that already exists. Like LEOT, which could potentially stand for "LEO Tweets" for instance.

I thought it would be tied to LeoFinance & LEO and I became rather sceptic, because truth is that I thought and still think, that it is too early for LeoFinance to expand in such a direction. I don't want LeoFinance to change it's core idea & pathway because I think we still have a long way to go, and messing with things now would be too early. I think it would be in vain..

That being said, within a few short days, I realized that this had nothing to do with LeoFinance in that sense. Even though LeoFinance is behind the project, this project is said to be a standalone project that does not work "hand in hand" with the LeoFinance platform, which I was obviously very to happy to hear.

This instantly made most of my scepticism vanish and I could instead think about #projectblank like something completely different. Something new that has never existed on Hive previously. This was not a "LeoFinance 2.0" that had been announced. It was a standalone project that will air drop tokens to LEO holders. LeoFinance has already showed time and time again that they deliver good things. LeoFinance is without a doubt the most successful community or tribe on Hive to this date, and they, the team behind that community is about to launch their next thing.

That is marketing 101.

With the announcements of the announcements about #projectblank, they have already built up expectations and hype. Due to the success they've had with LeoFinance, they have already proved to be legit, hard working and passionate. They have already paved the way for communities on Hive and they have showed everyone that they are dedicated and trustworhty. They have showed us that they deliver great things.

Now, that same people will give us #projectblank. That is literally the perfect way to market something and to build up expectations and hype. That is true and powerful marketing. They have already a bunch of investors and a dedicated army of users once they release #projectblank, and honestly speaking, we still don't know what they are about to launch. LeoFinance, or the team behind #projectblank might be a better fit, have built up such amazing hype over the recent weeks, so they have tons of people waiting to use their product. They haven't even given us all the details about the product, but we've already decided to go for it.

Some people claim that ProjectBlank is the reason for the climb in price lately, and that might be true, but I don't think so. Honestly, I don't think ProjectBlank has anything to do with the green numbers we've been seeing lately.. I think that is WLEO and LEO on its own doing the magic.

And to be perfectly honest, I don't expect ProjectBlank to "take over" Twitter or draw the masses towards ProjectBlank, LeoFinance or Hive anytime soon, even though I obviously hope it would have such impact.

We have seen the things that has happened recently. We have seen all of these "web 2.0 platforms" ban and suspend a lot of people and even though I personally can see how awesome Hive would be for those users, I don't think they will look our way for months.. Perhaps even years.

I think we will miss out on those people, as well as a lot of others for one simple reason:

The don't know that we exist.

This has been a problem for years, ever since the ~~Steemit~~ days, and even though ProjectBlank might be exactly what people need, there won't be any demand for it until people know it exists.

So.. I am not here to kill or destroy everyones hopes or dreams. I want the same things as you do. I want Hive to be successful. I want to succeed. I want Hive, LeoFinance and ProjectBlank to be successul and I wish we will have a superb launch of ProjectBlank. I want a massive launch with thousands of accounts within the first 24 hours.. Whatever. All of that. I want that too.

However, that is not possible, if we continue like we have done. We have to change things before we can expect that changes will come our way. We can't expect LeoFinance or the team behind it to pull all the traffic. They are already doing the heavy-lifting in terms of giving us a superb community and by the looks of it, an amazing Twitter-like platform that is shortly to be launched.

We need to do our part. We, the current Lions, the ProjectBlank investors-to-be has to step up to the plate and do whatever we have to for this home-run of a project to take off properly!

If we can market ProjectBlank outside of LeoFinance and outside of Hive, we have a chance of getting a really powerful snowball-effect. I don't really know if #projectblank will have something implemented already so we can share our "blanks" elsewhere with a click-of-a-button or how it will work, but I bet they have thought about marketing after the release, as well as they thought about marketing before the release. I expect nothing less when this is coming from the team behind @LeoFinance.

I truly believe that ProjectBlank can and will change Hive and how we consume & share content, and I also think that short-form content is vital to draw in the masses. I think this has the potential of being another winner, and that it will become a super-vital ingredient that will give Hive a chance of taking off and finally becoming a real powerhouse. I think ProjectBlank can become extremely big in terms of social media platforms, but I also believe that the users that the "blankers" will play a major role..

Help #projectblank to become the thing that everyone wants and something that drives the price of Hive & LeoFinance to the roof.. We are worth it.
