Are millennials driving cryptocurrencies? Los millennials impulsan las cryptomonedas?

The price of Bitcoin has surpassed all previous marks, leaving the historic rise of 2017 like a soap bubble that a wind ended.

Other coins have also reached never-before-achieved marks, several under the protective umbrella of the mother coin and others for their strong arguments, technology, safety, and investor preference.

What is the reason for this spectacular rise that according to most experts is here to stay?

There are several reasons and probably some of the biggest drivers are financial and service institutions that have taken seriously the advancement of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, examples abound: Visa, Paypal and even Square are supporting payments with BTC in a sustained way, Also, several Wall Street investment and advisory companies have added BTC to their portfolios.

But there is probably an additional element that increases the trend and that is noticed more and more clearly, as traditional investors overturn their preferences for gold when it comes to safeguarding from inflation, political and conjunctural ups and downs, young millennials prefer cryptocurrencies. Young people who are more open-minded and more prone to taking risks in pursuit of more striking benefits strongly influence the adoption of digital assets and blockchain-based solutions.

Of course there are several other factors that determine this boom, never complex situations are based on single parameters and variables but let's not lose sight of the influence of fresh minds eager to change the rules of the financial game.

El precio del Bitcoin ha superado todas las marcas anteriores dejando a la histórica alza del 2017 como una pompa de jabón a la que un viento puso fin.

Otras monedas también han alcanzado marcas nunca antes logradas, varias bajo el paraguas protector de la moneda madre y otras por sus sólidos argumentos, tecnología, seguridad y preferencia de los inversores.

*¿ A qué se debe esta alza espectacular que según la mayoría de los expertos ha llegado para quedarse?

Razones hay varias y probablemente algunos de los mayores impulsores sean las instituciones financieras y de servicios que han tomado seriamente al avance de la tecnología blockchain y las cryptomonedas, ejemplos sobran: Visa, Paypal y hasta Square están apoyando en forma sostenida los pagos con BTC, también varias compañías de asesoramiento e inversión de Wall Street han agregado el BTC a sus portafolios.

Pero probablemente hay un elemento adicional que aumenta la tendencia y que se nota cada vez con mayor claridad, así como los inversores tradicionales vuelcan sus preferencias por el oro a la hora de salvaguardarse de la inflación, los vaivenes políticos y coyunturales, los jóvenes millennials prefieren las cryptomonedas. Los jóvenes de mente más abierta y más propensos a asumir riesgos en pos de beneficios más llamativos influyen de manera terminante en la adopción de activos digitales y de las soluciones basadas en la blockchain.

Por supuesto hay varios otros factores que determinan este auge, nunca las situaciones complejas se basan en parámetros y variable únicas pero no perdamos de vista la influencia de las mentes frescas y ansiosas de cambiar las reglas del juego financiero.
