However, it is difficult for people who have already started the shift from one economy to another to forget the terms and conditions that the old methods used by centralized bodies have imposed on the economic and financial world.

Surely that happens to the mayor of Miami, who these days has announced that as of November he will receive his check 100% in bitcoins, I cannot imagine how you can receive a check-in bitcoins if it does not exist, but the expression of the gentleman is well worth “ Mayor ”of that great global city in the state of Florida, you have to sift it a bit and get the best interpretation, Mr. Francis Suarez from this month of November will receive in bitcoins the equivalent of his salary in dollars corresponding to his task communal.

We must remember that this mayor has in his plans to turn the city of Miami into the main economic and financial center based on cryptocurrencies, in that sense he has already taken several measures and decisions such as hosting the Bitcoin Conference 2021 that took place in the middle of the year, urge government employees to accept part of their salary in that currency and also promote that the inhabitants of the city can pay their taxes and services in BTC. Additionally, he is developing the idea of ​​including cryptocurrencies in the city's investment portfolio and is promoting the creation of a token called Miami Coin.

While it is true that some progress has been made in some of these projects, most have yet to be realized, however, the mayor's firmness in wanting Miami to become the crypto capital of the United States has not stopped and the decision of Charging your entire salary in cryptocurrencies gives a great sign in that regard.

Seguramente eso le pasa al alcalde de Miami, quien por estos días a anunciado que a partir de noviembre recibirá su cheque 100% en bitcoins, no imagino como se puede recibir un cheque en bitcoins si no existe, pero bien valga la expresión del señor “Mayor” de esa gran ciudad global del estado de Florida, hay que tamizarla un poco y quedarse con la mejor interpretación, el Sr. Francis Suarez a partir de este mes de noviembre recibirá en bitcoins el equivalente a su salario en dólares correspondiente a su tarea comunal.

El propio Suarez lo ha anunciado por twitter y también ha instado a otros miembros de su equipo de trabajo para que hagan lo mismo, ignoro hasta el momento si algún otro se ha plegado a esa iniciativa que trata de demostrar la convicción que este funcionario tiene sobre las criptomonedas y su futuro.

Ante la afirmación de una periodista sobre que antes de recibir su salario en bitcoin el alcalde debería contar con la aprobación del consejo, éste mencionó que no hacía falta porque existen aplicaciones que pueden hacerlo en forma automática, no dudó en mencionar a las plataformas Strike y Bitwage como algunas de las posibles para hacerlo.

Debemos recordar que este alcalde tiene en sus planes convertir la ciudad de Miami en el principal centro económico y financiero basado en criptomonedas, en ese sentido ya ha tomado varias medidas y decisiones como por ejemplo ser sede de la Bitcoin Conference 2021 que se desarrolló a mitad de año, instar a los empleados del gobierno a aceptar parte de su salario en esa moneda y también promover que los habitantes de la ciudad puedan abonar sus impuestos y servicios en BTC. Adicionalmente está en desarrollo la idea de incluir criptomonedas en el portafolios de inversiones de la ciudad y está promoviendo la creación de un token al que se denomina Miami Coin.

Si bien es cierto que se ha avanzado algo en algunos de estos proyectos, la mayoría aun está por concretarse, sin embargo, la firmeza del alcalde en querer que Miami se convierta en la capital criptográfica de Estados Unidos no se ha detenido y la decisión de cobrar todo su salario en criptomonedas da una gran señal en ese sentido.
