CashRain, Incentivizing Community Followers with BCH

Yesterday, a platform called Cashrain (beta) was launched by KimDotCom saying he wants to help out some FTX victims. And to quote his tweet, re:

"I just launched the Cashrain.com beta and want to help out some FTX victims. Join the FTX community on Cashrain.com and I'll rain some crypto on you. You need a BCH wallet." - (Source)

By the looks of it, the site has been created to grow social media followings or subscribers while incentivizing community fans or members who accomplish certain tasks which are either any one or a combination of the following:

  • Joining the community on Cashrain
  • Following the community's socials (i.e. Twitter Account, Discord, Twitch)
  • Liking and Retweeting a featured tweet

In just over 24 hours, the communities in the platform has given out 127.6 BCH ($14.24k) in total which is quite impressive. The amounts rained are random I think. And obviously, the numbers of community members has an impact on how much each one receives.

How to Join or Create an Account?

  • Go to https://cashrain.com/ and choose which option you wish to sign up with (Through Twitch or Bitcoin.com wallet).

  • On this example, I used Bitcoin.com wallet to sign up and it gave me a QR code to scan using my wallet.

  • Then it further asked for an email address, username and password.

  • After filling in the information, click REGISTER you're done! You will then be brought to the front page of the site where you can see different communities.

What to do after creating an account?

Check out the communities and join as many as you can (there are 162 community pages as of this time). Accomplish tasks indicated on their pages to increase your chances of getting rained.

And that's it! You will just be surprised to get random BCH amounts sent directly to your Bitcoin Cash wallet address.

At the time of this writing, the largest community is KimDot Com with over 4k members and has rained a total of 63.2 BCH with the largest payout of 2.25 BCH for one member. It has a current scheduled rain (in about 18 hours) with a jackpot price of 4.51 BCH ($500) for one person.

Anyone can create a community just as anyone can rain BCH too. It also has a leaderboard in terms the top users and top communities that rained the most BCH.

I wonder what those green check mark at the end of the community name though. I can only assume the mark means the community is verified.

But yes, it is quite amazing how this platform has grown in just a little over 24 hours since it launched. It will be very interesting to see how it progress from today.
