I've been writing monthly recaps for my account since last August. This is my report from April
I actually have three accounts @yintercept, @irivers and @vagabondspirit. The first is a personal account. The second are associated with businesses. I decided to transfer all of my CCC into the VagabondSpirit account and all of my LEO into the yintercept account. irivers will concentrate on STEM.
My HIVE/SteemIt empire now holds over 843,840 coins. The total value of the account, thanks, to a last minute bump in the price of HIVE, is $3,446.
I admit, the decision of the witnesses to raise the interest on HBD to 20% threw me into a deep funk these last few months. This suicidal decision might well lead to a colony collapse disorder.
I am still essentially 100% powered up in the platform. I've done things like buy NFTs, created communities and other stuff.
Actually things are worse than that. I bought $480 worth of HIVE some time ago. So, My personal bank account is still in the red. I really hope that I am able to withdraw $480 from HIVE before the whole thing goes belly up.
My primary account is 99% of the way to becoming a dolphin. I want to achieve that goal before withdrawing funds.
I actually think that the best way to play HIVE is to set an investment goal such as achieving dophinhood; then to start withdrawing money with the hope of eventually getting more out than one puts in.
Of course, that approach is called "gambling."
The bigger problem, of course, is that for current HIVEan to withdraw actual money, there must be a future HIVEan wanting to buy in.
You know, There should be a name for an investment scheme that is dependent on future buyers buying in to the scheme; so that the current buyers can cash out. Unfortunately, nobody has yet to come up with a name for this type of design ... well at least no-one has come up with a name for this type of scheme that one is allowed to repeat on HIVE.
It is scary to think: In order for HIVE to have a market value at all; there must be people who bought more HIVE than they have sold. Most people are buying HIVE with BTC. BTC has a similiar structure.
I hope to cross the dolphin mark in June. I think there is a chance that I will get my $480. My hope of actually making from this scheme has diminished after the stupid decision to raise the interest on HBD to 20%. HBD is an attempt to create a tangible asset from an intangible one. These type of debt games tend to undermine whatever system is based on the asset used to guarantee the debt.

I no longer participate in Power Up Day because I am transferring all of my HBD into savings for the HBD interest. This page shows my account growth since August.
