The dominant position of the US dollar among the world's reserve currencies is slowly declining. The US dollar loses 1 % share annually As the data of the International Monetary Fund show, while in the 3Q of 2020 the dollar share in reserves was about 60 %, in the 3Q of 2014 it was 66 %. The share of the US currency in global currencies held in reserves continues to decline. These figures suggest that the rate at which the dollar is losing its privileged position is about one percent a year. In the next ten years, it could fall below 50 %.
