I think that the same conversation went down at Ubisoft HQ as in this clip from South Park. Companies have lost touch with the real world and they are just shooting themselves in the foot these days. They refuse to come up with innovative ideas (maybe because they aren't capable of doing that) and the gaming community sees NFTs through that filter thinking that they are just another extension of the loot box system.

I'm sure a lot more vaporware will come out before we can actually see a mainstream game implementing NFTs the way they should be implemented. Grab your popcorn and enjoy. Nothing else that can be done at this point.
