It is the first of July and it is time for another HIVE power up day. We had a HBD pump before the hard fork took place so I managed to load up on some HIVE beforehand. So I will also be deciding how to allocate those HIVE to fulfill my goals and see how well I did last month.

One of the main reasons why I choose to power up is because I ran into resource credits issues when I first started. Now that I have a decent amount of HP, I no longer run into this issue and RC pools are suppose to be created soon so I don't know if new users will face that same issue.

As a bonus if you participate in this month's HIVE power up day, you can leave a comment in the most recent post by @eddie-earner to earn some extra dividend tokens.

Hive Power Up Day

More information about Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) can be found at the July HPUD by @traciyork. Last month I think I did a similar amount of posts compared to last month and I was able to get 200 HP from my posts/comments. As such, I am getting close to a near-term goal of 1k HP. With the new changes in the hard fork, I am wondering how people's voting patterns and how my own will change.

I saw a good post about why people should visit leomarkettalk a few days ago and I also like that place to chat. As a general place for chatting, we have a variety of topics and you can also earn some LEO. Feel free to promote any good posts you see by others.

My current HP (shown above) before powering up is 944 HP and I plan to power up 25 HIVE. The results of this can be seen in the picture below and here is the transaction link. I decided on 25 HP this time around because I managed to get a decent amount of HIVE after exchanging out some of my HBD before the hard fork.

I wasn't as behind this month on my Saturday Saver's Challenge so I powered up some extra HIVE as well and I also moved some HBD to the Savings for my normal challenge. Now that HBD is only getting interest in the savings, I think my original plan of moving it there is a good idea. There are even talks about moving the interest rate for HBD all the way to 10% to make it more attractive towards investors to hold on to their HBD.

July Goals

As usual, I based my monthly goals based on my yearly goals. The INDEX tokens orders I talked about in my June Hive Power Up Day got filled and I satisfied the goal back in May. However my orders for DHEDGE have played out a similar way and my lower bid orders have not filled. I will keep them there until they are cancelled and I will see if I can get them by next month.

Token Goals

For the most part, I plan on getting a little bit more of staked tokens that I had last month for everything except SPORTS. These seem more reasonable to me and I know that I can hit these so long as I am active.

  1. Increase my HP to 1100 HP (currently 971)
  2. Increase my staked LEO to 1000 (currently 875)
  3. Increase my staked SPORTS to 1.75M (currently 1.5M)
  4. Increase my staked CTP to 1800 (currently 1580 with 50 delegated out to BroFi)
  5. Increase my UTOPIS holdings to 25 (currently 15)
  6. Invest 200 LEO into Cub Finance

Well I did not hit the SPORTS goal naturally but I did power up some SPORTS to cover the portion that I needed. So I do have 1.5M SPORTS staked now. I have decided to delegate out 500k SPORTS to the engagement project to get similar returns and spur engagement using the SPORTS front-end. The latest dividend report shows that it has a 38% APR so it will still help me work towards my SPORTS goal.

The dividend token of the month for me is UTOPIS. The latest report by chronocrypto shows that there aren't many left. It is a system that changes money earned outside the HIVE ecosystem into HIVE. Some of the things included in the dividends is doordash and ETH mining. The current APR of the project is also quite big and the last time I checked, it was above 40%.

As usual I will be adding to Cub Finance and the addition of kingdoms makes it hard to pick which one I want to enter right now. I am personally leaning towards the bLEO/BNB pool this month because of the LEO bridge and how it may be used to connected to Polygon.

Gaming Goals

No new games so I will leave my goals more for Rising Star. I haven't been focusing on the other games as much and I have only been doing the daily quest for Splinterlands.

  1. Top 104 for Rising Star for ranking rewards
  2. 550 cards in Rising Star

I am glad to say that my band auditions for getting to the next map is over so I am earning 100k starbits about every 5-6 days. With this I can now start on getting some cards I want off the market. I am ranked in the 70s right now and I don't think I will lose my place but adding in the rank is just to motivate me.

I managed to get my Exode Planet so that goal was achieved. It was something I left on the side and I am currently waiting for new content to be released. When everything is done, I may have a small planet but I am looking forward to actually exploring it completely.

Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or feedback.
