Well there are laws regarding minimum wage and what they can actually fire you for in the US but I don't think it will really do much because the employer is allowed to fire anyone at any point in time so long as they give you an advance notice. I do think people need to rethink how valuable they are to their jobs because we really aren't that important. If they can save money, they most likely will even if it involves the legal system.
