Well...CBDCs will probably exist in the future but I do think that it will really hurt the banks. With it, the government is mainly in control and they are allowed to exclude people from the system as they wish. In fact I would say it's probably a bit more dangerous once physical cash disappears since people won't be able to survive in certain societies afterwards.
