The governments will never let go of their control so I expect a bitter fight to the end. It will ultimately be decided by whether or not the CBDC can maintain the confidence of their people.

I personally see China as the number one country leading in this as they have already implemented the digital Yuan so it will be our case study. I think this was done because there were many people realizing that banks were failing way too often and that they needed to keep their money so they did not lose it all. Eventually the system will unravel and I think China will be the example of what will happen or not. Can they maintain belief in their currency or will people lose their faith?
