Is HUAHUA becoming a Metaverse play?

A few days ago, I posted about my contemplation of putting a decent sized chunk of my capital into an investment in HUAHUA, the chihuahua chain Meme coin for the Cosmos. That post gathered a number of responses, and I am grateful to everyone that provided feedback. As an FYI to all, I'm not going to be outright buying all that HUAHUA in one go, but I have increased my stake and am accumulating over time to build the position.

So, to get to the point of this post, since that last post, a fascinating proposal has been put to the HUAHUA community for consideration.

A HUAHUA Metaverse.

The team from Passage3d, which are bringing to life the Strangeclan project (an NFT game) have submitted a proposal to build a HUAHUA Metaverse. Passage3d "build worlds" as they put it, and have pitched to build one for the Chihuahua Meme coin community. You can see the full details of the proposal at this link Here is a quote from that link to summarise the proposal:

Passage would like to engage in a long term collaboration with the $HUAHUA community that allows us to immediately begin development on a community owned Passage World, while also leaving us room to expand features and functionalities as the Passage Platform matures. Included in this process will be the listing of MetaHuahua NFTs on the Passage Marketplace and the integration of those NFTs into avatars (or Huavatars) within the world.

Passage are asking for just under $1 million worth of HUAHUA tokens for the work, which they would sell to fund their dev costs. In addition, having the site running on Passage carries a cost, and they have suggested that the HUAHUA community pool could buy their new PASG token during a private sale process, and then stake it to cover the costs via staking rewards.

In my opinion, it makes a lot of sense for DAO's and Community funds to cover costs in this manner. Buying a decent stake in another project, and then using the return on that stake to pay for services that project provides seems like a no-brainer. Community funds get invested into interesting new projects, capital is retained and the income it generates covers costs. I brought up this kind of thinking ages ago, in a post about Akash, and it just makes so much sense to me.

A Metaverse for HUAHUA is a great use case for the token, and would bring the community a unique and social vibe and lots of fun I think. The costs are not insignificant, but I think that the Passage team are a great fit and will bring this idea to life. Moving HUAHUA from being just a "useless Meme coin" into being a "useful Meme coin" only adds to its appeal, and if this proposal goes ahead I will be keenly participating. Concepts of "the Metaverse" have never really appealed to me, but this is one I can make an exception for.

When and if this proposal comes to a vote, I will be in favor and will vote to support the arrangement. I would also support some of the community fund being used to buy PASG in the private sale stage, and held as stake to cover the ongoing costs of this service.

Bring on the HUAHUAVersa, I say.

Now I'm questioning again if I should start accumulating HUAHUA a bit faster.

Thanks for reading,

JK.
