Staying Focused Is A Much-Needed Habit For The Crypto Space

The Blockchain/Cryptocurrency space is still young, it calls for the need to network and be associated with like-minded people. You just can't hang out with friends that think Bitcoin is gambling like my neighbor and expect to get a meaningful conversation of positive impact.
Therefore the need for like-minded friends or community is important for our cryptocurrency journey.

Associating oneself with a cryptocurrency community doesn't eliminate exposure to misleading information or viewpoints.

Four years ago when I newly joined STEEM Hive I recall someone saying it is not worth being on Hive because it will take years before one can start earning significantly. While the slow and steady growth is true, the investments that promised quick and high yields only had me rekt.
For a cryptocurrency newbie, that was enough to put me off but I didn't. I felt I had found a means to earn while creating content on Hive, very little earnings but the fact that it resonated with me, I was able to shut off viewpoints that will leave a negative impact on me that could have me chasing the next shiny project with no sustainability.

Naturally, I am the type when involved in anything I stay focused provided I enjoy it. Implementing the focus habit in my crypto journey so far hasn't earned me millions of dollars but if compared to the years I have worked as an employee the current outcome of being involved in crypto has been far more rewarding even though crypto is yet to experience the full-blown maturity wished for within the crypto space.

Twitter, as good as it is to get the latest news and views about cryptocurrency, is also a place to get influenced by the opinions of others if you are the type that gets easily swayed by the opinions of others. The perspective of others in addition to ours helps with better judgment towards action rather than getting influenced by the media.

The sustainability of a blockchain, how scaling it is for building Decentralized Applications (DApps), and of course, how decentralized it is are just but a few factors that influence my judgment when I focus on a project.

These and the zeel to keep reading and learning are enough to keep the focus on sustainable crypto projects.
