I have paid for my Internet service with cryptocurrencies [ENG][ESP]
I have been wanting to write about this for a few days now, it has brought me a lot of happiness to be able to pay with cryptocurrencies for Internet service. Maybe in other countries it is different, but here in Venezuela changing from cryptocurrencies to the local currency of the country, results in losses due to the commissions established by those who offer the service and what costs you 50$, you end up spending about 55-60$ in cryptocurrencies.
Desde hace unos cuantos días quería escribir sobre esto, me ha traído mucha felicidad el poder pagar con criptomonedas el servicio a Internet. Quizás en otros países sea diferente, pero acá en Venezuela cambiar de criptomonedas a la moneda local del país, se traduce en pérdidas por las comisiones establecidas por quienes ofrecen el servicio y lo que te cuesta 50$, terminas gastando unos 55-60$ en criptomonedas.
Whenever I get a place where I can pay directly with cryptocurrencies, everything is easy and particularly brings me a unique satisfaction. I have been promoting the use of cryptocurrencies for a while now and when I see some goals achieved, you feel that the time and effort invested has been worth it. Besides the fact that you feel free from third parties, without depending on a banking or payment platform.
Siempre que consigo un lugar donde pueda pagar directamente con criptomonedas, todo resulta fácil y particularmente me trae una satisfacción única. Llevo un tiempo promoviendo el uso de las criptomonedas y cuando veo algunos objetivos logrados, sientes que el tiempo y esfuerzo invertido ha valido la pena. A parte de que te sientes libre de terceros, sin depender de una plataforma bancaria o de pago.
Talking to my Internet service provider, I asked him if I could pay him in cryptocurrencies. He instantly said yes and that I could pay him in Bitcoin. I was fine with that, although I don't like bitcoin as a means of payment and started thinking about the commission. As I had the money inside Binance, since I had withdrawn Hive from my account and I had to exchange them in the market, the first thing I saw complicated was that withdrawing btc from Binance would cost about 30$.
Hablando con mi proveedor de servicio a Internet, le consulte si podría pagarle con criptomonedas. De forma instantánea me dijo que si y que le podía pagar en Bitcoin. Me pareció bien, aunque no me gusta el bitcoin como medio de pago y comencé a pensar en la comisión. Cómo el dinero lo tenía dentro de Binance, ya que había retirado Hive de mi cuenta y tenia que intercambiarlos en el mercado, lo primero que vi complicado fue que retirar btc de Binance tendría un costo aproximado de 30$.
For my part I was already discarding that option and I was thinking inside me that I wish my provider had an account in Hive and so I could transfer without commission and instantly. Talking to the provider he gave me an ETH account so I could pay him for the service with USDT, but again the high commissions were going to make my service cost more than usual.
Por mi parte ya estaba descartada esa opción y pensaba dentro de mí que ojalá mi proveedor tuviera una cuenta en Hive y así transferirle sin comisión y al instante. Hablando con el proveedor me dio una cuenta de ETH para que le pagara el servicio con USDT, pero de nuevo las altas comisiones iba a ser que mi servicio costara más de lo habitual.
As we ended up reaching an arrangement to pay with USDT, I suggested him to go through TRON and that it could be directly to his Binance account. Without further ado, he agreed and I proceeded to make the payment. I first withdrew to my TRON wallet the USDT, and although I could do it directly to his account, I wanted to explain to some friends how to withdraw to a wallet and then see the USDT in the wallet.
Como terminamos llegando a un arreglo para pagar con USDT, le sugerí que fuera a través de TRON y que podría ser directamente a su cuenta en Binance. Sin más, acepto y procedí a realizar el pago. Primero retiré a mi billetera de TRON los USDT, y aunque podía hacerlo directamente a su cuenta, quise explicarles a unos amigos como retirar a una billetera y luego ver los USDT en la billetera.
With my provider's TRON address in hand, I proceeded to pay for the service. It was a total of 35 USDT, although I spent 36 USDT since the commission to withdraw USDT per TRON in Binance is 1USDT. Again, if everything was with HIVE, it would have saved a lot on commission, although I was fine spending 1 USDT compared to what I would spend if the transaction was through ETH or BTC.
Con la dirección TRON de mi proveedor en mano, procedí a pagar el servicio. Fueron un total de 35 USDT, aunque gasté 36 ya que la comisión para retirar USDT por TRON en Binance es de 1USDT. Nuevamente, si todo fuera sido con HIVE, se habría ahorrado muchísimo en tema de comisión, aunque me pareció bien gastar 1 USDT en comparación con lo que gastaría si la transacción fuese sido a través de ETH o BTC.
There are more and more places where we can buy with cryptocurrencies in Venezuela. From food, appliances and electronic devices, it all depends on the education that merchants have regarding cryptocurrencies. What is true is that everything would be easier if it were done through a blockchain like Hive.
Cada vez son mas los lugares con los que podemos comprar con criptomonedas en Venezuela. Desde comida, electrodomésticos y artefactos electrónicos, todo depende de la educación que tengan los comerciantes con respecto a las criptomonedas. Lo que si es que todo seria mas fácil si se hiciera a través de una blockchain como Hive.
