The Bumpy Road To Recovery

I woke up to a sea of red in the market and it spells out the situation in my life. The bear market has been doing one step forward, and two steps backward. It's a funny market thus far, while it's given people some mixed feelings, it's made it difficult for the strategies of some others to work.

The instant we see a recovery, a dump happens and it's been doing. It spells out the situation in my health status as of late. Yesterday morning, it felt like my nostrils would finally be free from the blockage, caused by the flu and all that phlegm would go, but I woke up this morning, unable to breathe, and I could feel that phlegm blocked the two sides of my nostrils.

Sometimes, the road the recovery is not always smooth as many would think and this is because recovery itself is dependent on circumstances that are beyond our control. Crypto taking a huge dump again today, signals a whole new unpredictability to what we'll term recovery.

While we can no longer tell what market we're in, sometimes in life, it feels like we're moving forward but then a step backward might give us a different notion. It's like someone who has their salary Increased, this is normal progress, but if they consider the increased need and the inflation rate, they'll understand that they're barely moving upwards. Sometimes we need the illusion that we're doing well or recovering to keep sane.

When people ask about my health or financial status, I cannot tell them that I'm doing badly, rather, I'll be forced to tell them I'm doing okay and this is because we humans, we're wired to feel or think that tomorrow is always going to be better than yesterday, while this is seldom true, it's not always true. When it comes to money, it's believed that once a person invests, there's an inevitability to profiteering because they've made that move. There's an atom of unpredictability that's etched in our lives and people who are vested in crypto might understand this to a certain extent, while people who aren't might not. For example, I became sick because I've been putting my body on the line to secure a better living for myself. Since I know that putting my body on the line would cause me to be sick, I still did it anyway and this was because there was no certainty to this possibility.

So because I couldn't predict how bad things were going to turn out, I decided to do what I had to do. So even if I had a crystal ball that could show me how bad things could get, does this mean I should be happy with stagnancy instead of aiming to move higher and get my wings clipped in the process? This is how it is with crypto, we all know that at a certain point, we might lose the money we've invested, messing up with our mental health in the process and this is why people take precautions when it comes to risk rather than avoiding risks. In life, it's always difficult to get something without giving anything in return. Every day we're always sacrificing something for the other. The effect of the opportunity cost forgone is what eventually helps us to know if we've made the wrong choices or not.

Risks & Sacrifice: At What Expense?

The degree of repercussions or outcome of an event is what determines if we've made the wrong choices or not. Nevertheless, we see ourselves coming back stronger even when we've been through the ringer, this is because being "down" is not an option, since there are the possibilities that we might fail again. This isn't the end for Crypto and this is not the end for my health status. This means that I've not seen the worst and I've not seen the best. The sea of red in crypto today isn't the worst, because we haven't completely hit rock bottom, I guess before we do, some people might hit the "SELL" button and live forever to regret it later. So also, I cannot say I've seen the best, this is why the road to recovery isn't smooth, the idea that it has to be, is based on mere hope. Nevertheless, I'm taking it one day at a time.
