The internet has reduced the susceptibility of exploitation of many Nigerian citizens over the years. As a result of the biting unemployment rate, many people have begun to seek for skills even before they go to College. While a few others are dumping college to go into business, while this paradigm shift might be more obvious in the future as it were.

Nigerian colleges are still cashing out big from the ignorance of people to keep making more wealth for themselves, their stakeholders (who are wealthy people) and of course the federal government themselves. The federal government are in on this big scam and this is why they encourage entrepreneurship theoretically but never make measures to promote it practically.

Let's be practical; employment opportunities in Nigeria is by purely having connection, this means government officials forges certificate to get their employment. For example, the highest qualification in Nigeria to become a president is having a high school certificate, most directorate positions is national diplomas and equivalent.

These are the people raking in millions in the juicy job opportunities in the country while the least paying jobs needs people to have first degree like BSc, then PhD and the rest and this just spells a huge misplaced priority and doom for people who have spent so much to get these degrees and plans to remain in the country.

This is why I believe education in Nigeria should only be spent lightly on, I do not believe in going for endless and continuous degrees that have no real world use case. I believe that a skill, a degree should have one endgame; impacting knowledge that should also change one's financial standing since you can also call it an investment to an extent.

Education have expanded beyond any four walls, simply learning how to fix a pipe from watching a YouTube video is education. Learning a French course on, maybe Udemy or even, coding and programming skills. Education in the four walls are too generalized and time-wasting makes for time wastage and a sense of loss of direction.

With the internet, people can go in and basically learn the skills they want and use them immediately, this means the internet is revolutionizing the meaning of education to a direct and compact definition and this is how problems like unemployment can be solved. Some have become wealthy from just having simple baking skills.

Creating an epicenter where people can be educated on solving real-time need should be the future of education, and not necessarily accruing degrees and degrees without any sort of impact on solving any problems. Many of these professors in Nigerian colleges are passing outdated knowledge and earning expensive salaries. To me, they're not solving any problems and these should probably be some of the people that needs to be underpaid.

In a nutshell; learning how to solve a real problem that people should be willing to part their resources for. Crypto for example is abuzz, blockchain is coming with numerous opportunities and being redundant and passing regressive bills will only keep plunging Nigeria into poverty but only continue to be beneficial to the people who are benefiting off of the poverty of others, because In a place where there's poverty, you'll have people profiting off of people going through this poverty.
