The series where a regular ass dude tried to help people understand crypto and how to do different things with it. I'm no expert, I just happen to have a little experience and love sharing knowledge. What would we really even have if no one shared knowledge? I'll leave you with that thought.

Today I wanted to share how you can transfer value between the WAX blockchain and Hive blockchain fairly easily. There is no bridge in place currently so if you have never done it before, it can seem hard. Have no fear, though! I can show you de wae. If you're an NFT collector and blockchain gamer like myself, odds are you have crypto on multiple different blockchains. Moving between them can be complicated and even scary to some that don't have experience. Let's face it, to your average Joe... This shit can be very intimidating because what if you fuck up? You could easily lose your funds because there's no one there to get them back if you fuck up.

Let's jump right into it.

Maybe you have some funds on WAX from trading NFT's or playing games on the Wax blockchain. Maybe you want to use those funds to buy some new Splinterlands cards or packs. We all know how Splinterlands has exploded lately. How can this be done in an easy fashion? Smart contracts have use covered.

Step 1:

Log into your WAX wallet, whether that be cloud wallet, Anchor, whatever you use... For simplicity, I'm using Wax Cloud Wallet here. Yes, this is one of my actual wallets. Feel free to send me a tip! Address: zbnau.wam

Step 2:

Click send on the right hand side and select WAXP from the list.

Step 3:

Log into Hive Engine, LeoDEX, or whatever other Hive Engine DEX you choose. Click on the wallet tab, and you'll be able to see all the Hive Engine tokens you have. As you can see, I've been re-investing 99% of my HE tokens.

Step 4:

Click Deposit at the top. Then select WAX from the drop down menu and click on Get Deposit Info. The deposit address and memo will be shown. Copy these down and head back to your WAX wallet.

Step 5:

Paste the address and memo you copied from Hive Engine. YOU MUST INCLUDE THE MEMO!!!! Click next, and watch the magic happen.

Step 6:

Wait, drink some coffee, grab a snack. After a few minutes you will see your WAX appear in your Hive Engine wallet as SWAP.WAX, which is pegged to the price of WAXP.

BOOM! Now you have WAX on the Hive blockchain.

But you said something about Splinterlands?

I did! Now let's get some SPS, DEC, or even a card pack!

Click the trade button to the right of SWAP.WAX. It's the one that looks like 2 arrows. Here, you'll sell your SWAP.WAX for Hive.

Once your sell order completes, you have Hive ready to spend on whatever you like. Let's grab a card pack. These can actually be purchased in a variety of ways, but we're going to grab one on the Hive Engine exchange.

Click the Tokens tab, and select the trade button to the right of UNTAMED.

Go ahead and grab as many packs as your heart desires. Once you have your packs, click back over to the Wallet tab.

Click the Send button to the right of UNTAMED, and enter the address @steemmonsters. No memo is required. Then enter the quantity of packs you want to send to Splinterlands.

Click Send UNTAMED, and wait a minute or 2. That's it! You have successfully converted WAX into Splinterlands packs. Now head over to Splinterlands and open your new booster packs!
