I hope your day is going well so far. I woke up very early in a lot of pain and discomfort. I have 3rd degree burns on my right hand and it's a long healing process. As I was half asleep scrolling through crypto Twitter, I came across a game that caught my eye. It mainly caught my eye because it's 2D and pixelated like old school Nintendo games. I love the retro look and feel. After jumping in and checking it out - I think this thing could really take off. Not everyone wants to get in VR or run around in giant 3D open worlds. Some people wanna chill and play a retro style game.

What is Project Oasis?

It's a 2D pixelated multiplayer metaverse that's meant to be a chill throwback to retro style games - with a twist. The twist is that first of a all, it's play to earn. The other piece if that they have gamified DeFi in a very unique way. There's even a project launchpad baked right into the game to give players early access to token sales for different projects. The game is governed by a DAO called the Council and allows users to vote holding OASIS tokens.

This is what it looks like inside the game. You log in with Metamask wallet on Binance Smart Chain. They will be adding more chains in the future for cross chain game play.

The yield farming and swap are right in the game. All you do is walk over and click on it to launch.

Checking out the "fun zone". Found the CryptoBlades castle. Pretty cool but I still hate that game. There's even ApeSwap and PanCakeswap farming right in the game. I'm having a nostalgia attack and nerd overload. lol

Of course there's avatar NFT minting. It just went live today - for roughly 0.5 BNB you can mint an avatar. They all have different attributes and are unique.

Farming in game appears to be yield farming as opposed to growing actual crops. Play to earn has not been implemented yet - according to the roadmap, that will be Q1 of next year. That's pretty much all I could find at this point. Looks like it's going to be really cool one the PVP and all that gets added in. Until then - you can mint your avatar and do some yield farming. You do not have to mint an avatar to play.
