Hey there all you beautiful people. I hope you're having a fantastic Friday so far. If not, I hope it gets better. That starts with you though, so take a deep breathe, drink a glass of ice cold water, and go outside. Meditate, or whatever you have to do to make sure your day gets better. I start my mornings with a workout and some meditation and it really makes a difference. I also tried a new kind of coffee creamer - Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored and I have to say.... By itself, it's good as fuck. But actually mixed in with coffee, it's pretty terrible. Maybe I need to try with a different kind of coffee. I tried it with dark roast so maybe with something lighter it would be good. What say you? Anyway - here's some dope news from one of my favorite NFT/blockchain game projects.

Conquest!

So - If you've never heard of or played R-Planet, it is a game on the WAX blockchain that is being released in 3 phases. Phase 1 of the game has been mixing elements to discover new elements. You stake NFTs from a ton of different projects to generate AETHER, which is a cryptocurrency, and that's used to purchase basic elements to combine. There has also been a land sale and if you were lucky enough to get a piece of land like myself, you've been generating a specific mineral to that type of land. I ended up with an Enefterium land that mines ENEFT, a mineral that will be used to build robots for the conquest portion of the game.

So the announcement starts off with a little lore, which I get super nerdy for. Everyone loves a good story to go along with the game. I have a feeling this phase if going to bring in a lot of new players.

How the game works

So each player will pick from one of 3 different factions at the beginning. You will pick from Warriors, Masterminds, or Renegades. The factions will differ greatly in looks and which robots are able to be produced. Choose wisely as you cannot change your faction after the game starts! Players will also be able to pick from one of 4 different sections of land to start on in a random location. This will be your base, where you harvest minerals, build robots, increase your army power, and ultimately start the game. Sounds pretty fucking sick so far. This team will not disappoint.

Diving in a little bit more - the goal of the game is to build the superweapon and take down the Ahnangs' Mothership. Bases must be strategically developed and cooperation with other players will be key. There will be events that happen on the world map where you can see other players and the locations where you can build the superweapon. The game comes to an end either when the superweapon is complete of when the alloted time for the game ends. If the game has a winning alliance, all its members will be awarded with valuable unique NFTs. The key is - join an alliance as soon as possible and start building your army. Me likey - startegy games are a turn on.

The mechanics of events - Attacking, Commit Robberies, Scout, and Become Reinforcements. Each of these types of events by troops has a different outcome. Combat units can be divided into Rapid and Slow forces, and each robot has 7 different characteristics which determine the type of combat it'll be better at. All combat units, and droid at your base, consume the Wecanite mineral so you'll have to make sure you have enough being mined to sustain your army.

Heroes - each player can have one Hero which is an avatar that will be at your base. The hero will have difference characteristics to help with the base and troops. The Hero will also be able to quipd different accessories that increase certain features. Heroes cannot be destroyed but can be killed for a period of time. Protect your Hero! They can also tame wild animals and activate artifacts!

Conquest also introduces new NFTs that will be used in this phase of the game. Hero, accessories for the hero (such as helmets, vehicles, etc...), one time use NFT superpowers, and artifacts. I fucking love NFTs so you bet your sweet ass I'm going to be stacking some up.

Robot Crafting

Crafting of robots will be launched prior to the release of the game so you can go ahead and start building your army. You'll be able to use the minerals your land has been mining to craft 2 types of robots and the third type will be available for purchase later with AETHER. Robot crafting will be launched on October 19th.

Land NFTs

Those sweet, precious land NFTs will grant you some great advantages. Land NFTs will increase the mining power of your base by up to 200%!
