Zombie Outbreak Survival - Alpha Gameplay + Earning!

Despite having an insane day, I did have the opportunity to get in on the alpha testing of Zombie Outbreak Survival, which is a brand new game on the WAX Blockchain. The goal is simple - survive.

I've been able to log into the game with no issues at all. The beauty of the WAX blockchain is, you click log in with WAX. Then confirm. Now you're ready to play using any NFTs in your WAX wallet. There's no transaction fees, you just have to stake a little WAX for CPU on the network if you're going to play. It recharges pretty quickly though. The interface is very simple as this is just an alpha, but shockingly, everything works. It works exactly as expected. I spent about 106 WAX on the cheapest survivor, weapon, and shield I could get. Then I won a twitter giveaway by the magnificent Anders Bjork for another set. That's another survivor, weapon, and shield. Go check out his art and NFTs. He's a WAX OG with some incredible talent. So right now, you can only make supply runs.

You select your 3 NFTs, the survivor, weapon, and shield. Here, I sent Gustav with a hockey stick and a hoody out for 12 hours. What a crazy journey that must have been.

I sent the other Gustav with a baseball bat with nails and a trashcan lid. Way better set up in my opinion lol. Uncommon NFTs like these have better stats. I probably should have sent him on the 12 hour instead of the 4 hour but whatever.

I've been able to claim rewards from 2 missions so far. You can track them and see the exact time you'll be able to come back. So go have a beer or 2. Smoke some, you know. Just relax. It's a super passive game which I'm a fan of.

As far as loot - nothing too cool yet. Just some small food crates. Each of them contain 3 random food NFTs. You need food NFTs to heal your survivors after going out on a run. They can't go unless they're at 80 plus health so keep food stocked. You don't wanna have to buy it on secondary market. Steaks on secondary are 17 WAX right now!

Depending on the length of the mission and the NFTs you sent, you will get different rarity foods. For example here I got 2 canned foods and 1 chips. Then in the next crate I got 2 chips and 1 steak.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to deduce that you will get a lot more from a steak than a bag of chips. Canned food also probably heals more than chips. It's like the small, medium, and large health potions in the Diablo games. When a survivor is hurt, you click the healing page to use your food NFTs. I used 2 chips and he was healed to 85 health. Then I sent his ass right back out on a run.

It's the zombie apocalypse. Divide and conquer. We're gunna need a lot of supplies. I'm thoroughly enjoying this. I hope the game develops quickly but I know that building takes time. There's 14 hours left and I wanna get at least 2 more missions in. But I need sleep too so I'm gunna go do that now.
