In the elevator

YES, is it time? That was what I was thinking last week after those months of Bitcoin consolidation and sidewards trading maneuvers. We finally got into the elevator… and my prediction wasn't that bad. Unfortunately alone we have not been able to hold the 40K usd with Bitcoin. We've been up for 10 days and now we're seeing a slight stabilization or is it going to drop back to 35K? We'll have to wait and see… I was hoping we wouldn't fall through the 40K barrier again. But then I must also say that I am not an experienced trader, and certainly not with Bitcoin. So Bitcoin's moves are once just much bigger than I'd expect, which in fact still aren't big moves.

Break Out

The real break out hasn't come yet. However, I still feel that we are close to that. Whether or not it will… time will tell. But my feeling tells me that we are close to the break out and can expect all time high prices again soon. And yes, let me be honest. I hope it will, because as we all know, the time when we sink again will come again. Not something I look forward to now that winter is already closer to me than you might expect in early August.

Not such a great introduction to my post today, but that's not what we're here for on Tuesday at all. Because Tuesday is of course the day of the contest!

Back to the contest

You have been trying to predict the price of NEAR and fortunately there are still many enthusiastic participants despite the change. For which I thank you of course!

Well, of course I checked Coinmarketcap… because to be honest, I really don't keep track of every crypto at every hour of the day. And in recent weeks I have not even looked at Bitcoin daily. Coinmarketcap makes it very easy for me in that regard. I'll just check on Tuesday before writing the post what the coin in question was worth last week, in this case NEAR, on Friday, July 30, 2021 at noon Central European Time.

The answer to that is what Coinmarketcap showed me, and what you guys see in the screenshot below.

1 NEAR was worth $2.17

And the person who came closest with her prediction is @gillianpearce today for the second week in a row
