New Open Position on the LeoFinance Team | Business Developer (BizDev)
Our team has been charging forward on a wide number of initiatives, marketing and innovative developments in recent months. The amount of growth we've seen is astonishing and we're only just getting started.
The capacity for growth on our team has increased dramatically. While many roles were handled by a few, we want to expand our team to find people who are truly talented at serving key roles extremely well.
One of the newest positions we're looking to bring on is a business developer. There are currently a few people in the interview process that we're considering but we also wanted to reach out on Hive and see if anyone has any experience / interest in joining the team as a biz dev specialist.

What is BizDev?
Business Development - in simple terms - is pretty much what it sounds like. Your objective is to build the business by developing relationships with customers, other businesses and projects in the same industry or adjacent industries.
What We're Looking For in a BizDev Specialist
We're looking for someone who is largely self-directed. You'll be working with Khal regularly but people who are generally independent are preferred. Especially those who can:
- Grasp the objective of the position
- Generate leads
- Follow-up with leads
- Talk with Khal about the leads and opportunities to grow the LeoFinance Web3 Ecosystem
It's a relatively straightforward position. We've had a few people try in the past but we're looking for someone who can take this to the next level.
PolyCUB
With the launch of PolyCUB imminent, we're looking to bring on a BizDev specialist IMMEDIATELY. We currently have several contacts in the DeFi space along with major Crypto Media outlets working on Press Releases.
We're looking for a BizDev specialist who can join the team yesterday and start helping us expand these initiatives.
In the short run, we're expecting you to join the team and immediately start reaching out to:
- Communities to do AMAs about PolyCUB
- Polygon Projects that may want to collaborate with PolyCUB (create a farm, do a cross-AMA with both communities, etc.)
- Reach out to media outlets, PR agencies, etc. and work with them to negotiate content deals and brand partnerships to advertise PolyCUB
As we said, there are a few people volunteering their time right now to work on these aspects of marketing PolyCUB. We've been working closely with Coindesk, Cointelegraph and a number of Polygon projects to amplify the release of PolyCUB in the DeFi space but as a short-term mission for the new BizDev hire, we want to take this up a notch.

Long-Run
Obviously, PolyCUB is the focus right now. The launch of our newest Web3 Application is imminent and that means its all-hands on deck to make the launch a raging success.
In the long-run, the BizDev hire will be expected to focus on the core mission of LeoFinance: expand the width and depth of our community.
LeoFinance is a Web3 Ecosystem. We're building innovative applications across multiple blockchains and connecting them all with a core community on the Hive blockchain through https://leofinance.io and the LeoMobile Web3 Application. These social applications are our base layer and thus, the majority of our KPIs are around growing the MAUs and other key metrics surrounding social media platforms in general.
As the BizDev Specialist, you'll be expected to do similar things mentioned in the "PolyCUB" section but across the entire crypto industry:
- Continuously generate leads
- Build relationships with leads
- Find ways we can collaborate
- Drive the KPIs of LeoFinance through collaboration, opportunities, podcast appearances, etc. etc.
Currently, we're interviewing a few candidates from LinkedIn for the position but having an intimate knowledge of Hive and LeoFinance is a major + for being the Leo BizDev Specialist. We would prefer to hire someone from the community and are open to all candidates to do an interview and see if you're a good fit for the team.
As far as compensation, that can be negotiated once Khal approves the candidate. Compensation for team members range from upvotes to team stake to monthly salaried paychecks to hourly wages.
