The Megapack is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery stationary energy storage product by Tesla. It is part of Tesla Energy that is designed to be integrated by electrical utility systems.
Megapack was introduced in 2019 and now is 3.9 MWh. It is compatible with renewable energy production such as wind or solar along with traditional sources. The Megapack is ideal for powering peaker plants when electricity load is higher than normal.
