Hello, crypto-world heroes! I hope you are all well... Today I decided to start my journey in this great ecosystem of "@leofinance", to make the points clear with everyone, I sincerely in this world I consider myself with a basic knowledge, some time ago I worked in several platforms in which I was allowed to farm fractions of different cryptocurrencies, example of one of these platforms could be "FauceThub", a platform in which I spent a lot of time and in which I could collect a good amount of different cryptocurrencies.

Somehow I started to leave this behind, as I began to see how Hive.Blog was more profitable in all the letters of the word, although I can say that from time to time I take my turn by some of the platforms where he previously worked to see how the thing is, but anyway, what I can say about this, is that despite everything has left me a good teaching and it is thanks to that I have been able to develop in an acceptable way within the Hive ecisistema, although I am always born doubts for one thing or another.

This day I want to share with all of you a little of that teaching that I have been acquiring in this world of cryptocurrencies, I want to make clear that at least the content that I will share with all of you today, is totally educational as far as the word is concerned.

Today I bring to you a practical tutorial, in which I will show you a viable option to store your "Ethereum and ERC20 Tokens".

To start with this viable option that I will give you, I will start by briefly talking about "MetaMask" which will be the wallet that I will be recommending for this storage option for your "Ethereum and ERC20 Tokens".

For those who don't know about "MetaMask", I can say that it is an e-wallet based on an extension for web browsers, at the same time it also brings a de-centralized applications tool (DApps). This will allow us a better interaction with the Ethereum blockchain.

"MetaMask" has support for Chrome, Brave, Opera and Firefox, it is worth noting that thanks to this particular e-wallet, many users worldwide have the facility to use many of these applications which in turn are distributed and integrated in all the browsers I mentioned before. In short, "MetaMask" somehow becomes an anchor point to this whole world of decentralized applications, where the benefit falls on everyone who makes use of its service.

Having said the above, I will start with my explanation of how to get a "MetaMask" wallet and how we can set it up to store our "Ethereum and ERC20 Tokens".

The first thing we are going to do is to go to our browser of preference taking into account those in which "MetaMask" has support. Once you are in your browser, type in the search engine "MetaMask" or in this case you can enter directly from "here".

Pay attention to the images I will show below

In the images you have just seen you can clearly see the interface of the MetaMask web page, it is here where we will proceed to create the account, at this point I will try to explain in the best way the step by step.

First we will click on the download button, then we will have access to the installation link of the MetaMask extension, we will click on add extension to download and install it automatically.

Once the "MetaMask" extension is installed, we will start with the account configuration, click on the start button, then we will see two options, the first option is for those who already have an account and have the secret access words, in this case as we will be new we will click on the second option, we will accept the agreement or in its defect the terms and conditions. Once this is done we will be given our secret words, at this point it is very important to know that these secret words are very important, because in the worst case that we lose access to the account, these secret words will give us the possibility to recover it, once this point is clarified I will continue with the explanation.

Once we have our secret words, we will have to put them in the same order they were given to us, a tip for this point is that we can use a notepad as a tool, this way it will not be so cumbersome to make the notes of the keywords.

Once we have completed all this step, we will have our "MetaMask" account ready.

As you can see in the image above, this is the interface of the wallet as such, you can see the address, the amount and the options for purchases, shipments or exchanges. We also have the main network at the top, as you may notice we are going to have the default Ethereum network, but this can be changed according to the network you prefer for the moment.

Now, to make use of our MetaMask wallet we must take into account that this uses the ERC 20 network and to make movements of shipments to it is advisable to add the token of the currency to be transferred to our wallet... This is done as follows.

Click on the three dots at the top right, as shown in the image, then click on the second option which is "Etherscan", this would be like an explorer of all transactions made in that network, now, to add a token, I will take as an example the Tether USD (USDT). We put it in the "Etherscan" search engine, it will come out as shown in the image below.

Once this is done, copy the contract address, then go back to the MetaMask interface and click the add token button and proceed to paste the "USDT" contract address.

Now we are ready to receive USDT in our MetaMask wallet. In case you want to store another token, just go to the "Etherscan" page and search for the token of your choice and follow the steps mentioned above. It may be confusing at first, but then you will realize how useful it can be to have a MetaMask account.

And this way I conclude this practical tutorial, I hope you have enjoyed it and that in some way it will be very useful... Remember that this content is brought by me considering it as an educational way to teach and contribute my grain of sand in this great community of "@leofinance".

The images that I have shown in this content are of my total authorship, I took and edited them from my personal MetaMask account... Thanks for visiting and taking your time to read me, see you soon!
