So lockdown in England is over and i can get back to looking for silver on the markets, some people just buy coins or silver in the bulk but i have a soft spot for silver items.

This is the best item i got yesterday, it is a sweet little sterling silver egg cup and spoon in a hard case with a felt lining, the cup and spoon weigh just over an oz so not the heaviest item but it is functional and dont worry i will be having dippy egg and soldiers before the weeks end.

Here is the hallmark on the cup which allows you to find the maker, year and type of silver.

R.P stands for Robert Pringle & sons The Lion stands for the British sterling mark The front facing Lion stands for the London hallmark office The A stands for the year with this being 1936.

The other item i got was a sweet little quarter Guilder from the Dutch Antilles.

I believe this coin is quite rare with only 200k minted but as with anything being rare doesnt mean it is sought after, however the coin is 64% silver and holds a value of a bit over scrap due to the circulated condition.
