Milestones Reached In the First Half Of August
On Monday, August 1, I set off from Istanbul to the Aegean Sea coast for a holiday. I was in a good mood as the price of Hive has increased 80% in the last 24 hours. I showed off to my family members by saying I made $10,000 in one day due to the Hive's price rise. My son asked if I realized the profit. I didn't sell any Hives because they were all powered up. Would I trade my Hive coins if they were liquid? I expected the price to come back so I would sell for 80-90 cents. I would increase the number of Hives after a probable price pullback.
On the first evening of our holiday, the price of Hive went up to 96 cents. The next day, the price dropped to 57 cents, justifying my son's question. The Hive price then rose above 60 cents and stabilized at a level 20% higher than the starting point of the pump.
Spk.Network LARYNX Delegation
Although I did not write articles during the holiday, I followed what was happening in Hive. Being able to delegate LARYNX on the Spk.Network was one of the developments I've been waiting for for a long time. Hive holders earn the Speak Network miner token Larynx every month based on their Hive balance on January 6. I did not sell the LARYNX tokens I gained from the airdrop and made 60k additional purchases. I have powerup up my LARYNX tokens and delegated them to accounts run by @arcange and @dalz. In this way, I started to earn SPK, the @spknetwork governance coin. Spk.network is one of the Hive projects that excites me the most. I will not go into details now as I plan to write an independent article on this subject. I aim to complete my LARYNX portfolio, which is currently 68k, to 100k.
PSYBER-X Video Reveal
One of the events I followed while on vacation was the @psyberx video show scheduled for August 13. The video, which includes scenes from the city where the cyberpunk game will take place, was published on the planned date and attracted great attention. The first screening was for the founder title holders. Next Saturday video will be available to all Hive community members.
In the meantime, crate airdrops for LVL and Commercial plot owners continue. Another thing I followed on vacation was these airdropped crates. Unlike the previous ones, I decided to keep my last two crates unopened.
Leo Threads
The most important event during the holiday was undoubtedly the launch of the Leo Threads application. Thus, we witnessed the realization of Project Blank, which has been on the agenda for a long time. Threads, the first microblogging project run on a decentralized infrastructure, was met with more than expected interest.
The fact that @leofinance launched Leo Threads after the developments in Polycub and Cubdefi shows that the metaverse project may come to the fore after a while.
With the addition of Leo Threads, Hive's social media applications have become more diversified. With a single Hive account, we can access the Hive equivalents of various social media applications such as Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube. In addition to applications such as Peakd, Ecency, Luketu, 3Speak, and Threads, we also have tribe sites specialized in a particular subject.
Conclusion
During my vacation, building on the Hive continued at full speed. Apart from what I have mentioned above, there have certainly been significant developments. It is impossible to follow all actions as dozens of projects are active at the same time in decentralized infrastructures.
I often read news in crypto media about a social media project that an unrelated blockchain intends. Despite the social media applications that Hive has implemented, the news that mentions these projects as firsts surprises me.
Hive has not yet become visible to large audiences. On the other hand, I believe that the accumulation formed on Hive will get the reward it deserves in the eyes of the investors.
