The economic abyss of the West

Last week the NATO member countries meeting in Madrid, the capital of Spain, made their conclusion known to the world: the enemy of today is Russia and the enemy of the future is China (more words, less words). That said, another announcement was issued: Finland and Sweden formalized their entry into the military organization and euphoria in the West broke out, "now we are on the border with Russia".

Putin's response understood the world's alarms: "we have the capacity to attack any point on the planet, including the most important cities in Europe". From one day to the next, countries that were not Russia's targets are now part of its "destroyable" list: England, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland and Spain, the latter for sticking their noses in what they don't care about.

But really Russia did not need to launch a nuclear missile in each European capital to destroy the old continent, simply by withdrawing the natural gas supplies that reach Germany via Nord Stream 1, it has caused a real economic hecatomb in the not so united Europe.

Europe thought: "no problem, we have Norway, they have plenty of gas and oil, there is enough for everyone". What they did not count on was that the Nordic country recognized that they do not have the capacity to increase production together with a serious problem with the workers of the local hydrocarbon industry, who consider that they should be paid more given the high value of energy, and then they started a strike which has paralyzed the pumping of gas and fuels from the North Sea.

On the other hand, Europe's main partner, the United States, before the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent sanctions of the Western world towards the Eastern giant, assured its friends in the old continent that it would supply all the gas they require, do not worry "Uncle Sam will not abandon you". The problem lies in three details: 1) American shale gas is more expensive than Russian gas, 2) European industries use natural gas so they must invest in technology to adapt their energy requirements to this type of fuel, and the last point 3) the USA is not exporting gas because of the accident in the main plant of this energy source in the country, which is directly impacting the old continent.

On the other hand, the euro has done nothing but fall into an abyss that seems endless, at this moment it is practically at par with the dollar and everything points to the fact that for the first time in decades it will drop its value to levels below the U.S. currency. The devaluation of the euro has increased the terror in Europe as inflation continues to rise and now the threat of recession is becoming more and more imminent. Politicians are now announcing to their respective
people about the need to save energy as they fearfully observe that winter is approaching and the reserves are almost empty.

Without any modesty the German Minister of Economy, "the very green" Robert Habeck is telling the world the need to return to polluting coal to counteract the energy crisis in his country, that is, they are telling the world: we will suspend efforts to free ourselves from coal and clean up the climate to avoid buying them from the evil Putin while the war in Ukraine continues. Interestingly, the German Chancellor recently declared that Russia has every ability to stay as long as it wants on Ukrainian territory and acknowledged (tacitly) that economic sanctions have no effect on the Russian economy, in fact, the ruble is getting stronger and stronger as it is supported by commodities.

The European collapse is just the tip of the iceberg, the global economic and financial meltdown is undeniable and already underway. By the year 2023, the house of cards of the fiat model is expected to collapse just as the Japanese yen, the euro and the rest of the fiat currencies are doing now. Another model is already poised to replace it with Bitcoin, some altcoins, gold and state-owned digital currencies leading the way, as well as oil, gas and coal still sustaining the planet's energy needs, beyond the wishes of the greens and Ms. Thumberg.
