When you find yourself in a particular environment, you can take advantage of looking for what the community needs most and using that as a business opportunity. This tactic has proven effective for making more salespeople, based on my observations in the past.

You may be in an environment where many people are selling a particular product, for example, in grocery stores. This is a daily market that moves very well because people need those basic things in the stores, which are usually found in the stores, and this makes it a bit competitive. For example, more people are usually found doing this particular business in Nigeria. Coming down to the community where I reside, I can count up to 15 stores doing the same business on a street, and this makes sales a bit lagging.

This is because the buyers are almost limited to only the people living in the estate. Then imagine 15 stores competing for a specific population for their sales when one can actually take a look at the community and think deeper into other things the community is lagging on and become the early bird salesperson with a better opportunity of making more profit.

Recently, I had an interaction with one man in my community about this subject matter, and we talked about how the estate doesn't have a gas station until you drive out to the major expressway. In other words, some people who are not mobile always find filling their cooking gas difficult. Some trek while carrying their cylinder to the express to fill, and some make use of online riders, which attracts more expenses. After the discussion, this young man was so excited about the idea. He didn't hesitate to get a loan from the bank and begin the cooking gas business.

It's been over one month since he started, and trust me, he has created solutions to many people's problems in our estate. He makes good sales every day. People do not need to trek miles away in search of cooking gas. He was also pleased with me for having such a great idea. On my end, I also found a solution to a problem in my community, but it requires huge capital. I am working seriously on it to see how I can raise the required money to begin mine.

There are hidden opportunities out there; we only need to search deeper, discover that product that can benefit or make life easier for people around you, and earn more from it. This might also entail that we leave our comfort zone, pushing ourselves to break boundaries.

That's all I have for you today. I do hope you got value.
