Microsoft Acquires Bethesda, ID Software and Zenimax Media

Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax (includes Bethesda Softworks & id Software) is approved by the U.S. S.E.C.

Microsoft is one of the big 4 tech companies. Not to be confused with the tiny market cap of the social media giants, this is a real super conglomerate that has lost antitrust lawsuits and has most of the developed world using its azure API for domain name hosting.

Microsoft has their acquisition of Bethesda Software Inc. approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. This would include sister game developer ID Software and Zenimax media in the deal. As some are excited to see the great potential of Microsoft's budget, to achieve things like the iconic Halo: Combat Evolved, others feel that this is too much centralization in the game development industry.
