Since i discovered hive I have forgone my dreams of building on centralised platforms like youtube. It is a no brainer that your chances are better off here on hive than on any other centralised platform, and if you truly wanted to grow your brand on a centralised platform you can use hive as your stepping stone. I have seen a lot of people do this and it worked for them.

Asides showing up, I think people need to consider the value they bring to the network. You don't need to go over the top, just participate in the building process, make friends, increase your social capital and most importantly enjoy the process. Money can be a great motivator but it will to suffice all the time. You need to love what you do and that will be the game changer for you.
