crypto scams are rampant because many people do not do their due diligence and are infantilized by the system to the point they cannot protect their money. so it would be a scare to many who are new to this system that emphasizes personal responsibility. If people put a little effort into protecting their investment and doing their research a lot of these supposed scams will reduce significantly.
