I think this kind of announcements provides direct evidence that a platform is about to start a long descent into oblivion.

We may get similar hot-headed arguments from other platforms as the cryptocurrency market is (at least I think!) gradually heading into an overheated stage.

I think it's VERY important for the Leo and Hive community to not reciprocate such hostility, as reputation damage can be long-lasting and blended incentive approaches for content creations (e.g. payouts from multiple platforms or different income streams from upvoting and viewing) hold the long-term future anyway... :)
