2020

There are times when we have to reflect on what we've done so far, and while the outcome isn't exactly how we imagined it to be, the passion for change is what drives us further.

It has been a tough year for all of us and I hope 2021 will be different in so many aspects. The bar for 2021 is low, at least if compared to the previous year. Covid19 was just a beginning, what fucked us up, even more, were two devastating earthquakes that followed in relatively short periods of time. That's the reason I wasn't active in the last couple of days. The damage done is fucking huge, two cities are destroyed to a point of no return, people lost their homes and around 90% will have to be rebuilt. You can imagine the amplitude and seriousness of the situation. And while I'm not here to brag about it, we were there from day one and the amount of pain and misery we saw in their eyes changed the perspective of how I look at life. There is no time to wait, there is no time to bitch around.

You either adapt or perish.

Not to even mention that social interactions are reduced to a fucking minimum, the people became so scared and introverted that I'm not sure how many years it'll take to bring it back to normal.

And while it is hard to retain sobriety, the idea of building a better world overcomes every insecurity and pushes us further than we imagined.

'Hard times create strong men"

It gives you an insight into how insignificant and small we really are. Such scenarios make us rethink the fundamental idea of life, suddenly you don't give a shit about materialistic stuff. There's a problem though, we have to eat haha.

Everything Hive.

I already spoke about how poor some of my financial decisions were, but given that I can't change the past, the only thing that's left is to think of the future. Ye ye, what a cliche.

To begin with, the priority is to increase my hive position to around 50K by the end of the year (under the assumption price stays this low). And while I'm aware of the fact that Hive isn't the most lucrative deal I could have made, it definitely is the personal driving force that keeps me hyped and focused. The price is obviously not a reflection of value and the majority of the projects have nothing but a promise.

Hive on the other hand is usable, fast, and above all - REAL.

Having in mind that in around 3-6 months, @threespeak is planning to airdrop their tokens to Hive holders I plan to accumulate as much as possible. Permanent liquidity and speak tokenomics are the next big thing that will shake the world of web 2.0. The value props it provides simply can not be disregarded.

Going further, I plan is to be an owner of at least 7k Leo tokens. There's no specific reason why exactly 7K, I just like the number haha. LEO team proved themselves to be real the OG's with a respectable vision and smooth executions. One of the rare communities that actually delivered before it was expected. Thumbs up, the price is definitely reflecting the value you guys created. Well deserved ATH.

It's reasonable to assume that decentralized social media will be a new force, the only thing that's not certain is when it'll happen. I have been right for so many things, but this is a GEM worth waiting for.

Others

And while I'm mostly focused on building my Hive related portfolio, there are some projects I'm looking at outside the Hive ecosystem, one of which is DOT. Due to its interoperability and block architecture, it's ideal for building decentralized insurance - which will be the next big thing after defi.

What bugs me though, Is that dot has a large market cap already, and the possible returns are nowhere near if compared to the real underdogs. I overextended with some of my positions, therefore I've decided to diversify my portfolio.

I would much rather take part in building something meaningful rather than chase the money (only).

It's about the journey, don't you forget that.
