LOL, they are still claiming to be fully back by USD, which we all know is a lie.
Here's the official Tether response on Twitter (you're gonna love it)
“Bitfinex and Tether recklessly and unlawfully covered-up massive financial losses to keep their scheme going and protect their bottom lines,” said Attorney General James. “Tether’s claims that its virtual currency was fully backed by U.S. dollars at all times was a lie."
hahaha like what the fuck.
This is actually good news for crypto, we all got tired of Tether's agony that lasted for quite a while. But fuck, they paid $18mill and they are free to go.
