Hello, everyone.

designed on canva.

I'm grateful to @dswigle for organizing #marketfriday. It helps us to know the cost of goods and services around the globe. Today I was able to visit the market again after some time. My major reason for going to the market was to buy some broiler chicks to enable me to start my little poultry farm. It broke my heart to see that the price of broiler chicks has inflated. A broiler that was sold at $1 is now selling for over $2.5. I failed to track the current price of broiler and the money I took with me was not going to be enough, so I had to rush down to a nearby bank and withdraw some money.

I was able to buy five broiler chicks for $12.5. Since I was already at the market, I took the opportunity to buy some food items. I purchased the starter food for $10.

Inflation is constant these days as the price of goods continues to rise. A few weeks back, rice was sold for $4, but today it is sold at $4.5. I needed the rice. It is more like I was forced to buy it because I needed to. I bought some spices that will last for at least a week. The spices cost over $3. The lady also sells tomato paste. I bought tomato paste worth $2. I needed some perishable goods, and I moved to the part of the market where I could get some. I bought some tomato fruits and vegetables for $2. Due to inflation, $1 gives you eight tomato fruits. That was not going to be enough, but we must improvise and learn to adapt. I needed some jersey shorts because I am a sports lover. I got some shorts for $4. Inflation has done more good than harm to the masses. I spent at least $38 at the market today, despite the fact I did not buy all I was craving. I was trying to minimize my spending but still ended up spending more than I planned to.
