Who leaked FTX/Alameda Research balance sheet, and why? We still don’t know but what is on your mind?
Honestly, since FTX collapsed and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and it is native token FTT crashed from about $29 to the current price which is $1.43 but has gone low to about $1.39 sometime yesterday, I do not know if it will eventually go to zero or not though, but there have been a question I had on my mind since the FTX and FTT crash happened which is "Who leaked FTX/Alameda balance sheet, and why?" because at this point no one knows who did it and what was the person or person's end game.
But there are a lot of conspiracy theories behind or about the FTX/Alameda Research balance sheet leak, which stated that Alameda Research company assets were worth $14.6 billion against $8 billion of liabilities, according to news report there were more FTX tokens among its $8 billion of liabilities: $292 million of “locked FTT.” (The liabilities are dominated by $7.4 billion of loans.) The balance sheet leak and CZ's tweets lead to people dumping FTT and moving their funds from the FTX crypto exchange.
Like I was saying about conspiracy theories, some people think CZ planted an insider or a spy at Alameda who was working for him all along in a plot to bring down their rival company FTX to remain the biggest crypto exchange in the world. They said he managed to get access to Alameda Research the financial statements weeks before the media reported it. Someone even said CZ has Russian and Chinese hackers who hacked FTX/Alameda Research and leaked the balance sheet, while some say it was one of the FTX employees who were dissatisfied with his or her pay, someone even said it was the former FTX CEO himself and there are a lot more conspiracy theories and I can not list out all of them.
But on the other hand, is the person that leaked the balance sheet really important? Like it doesn't matter who Satoshi Nakamoto is but Bitcoin is still very successful and works, I guess we should just be grateful these individuals existed.
