Quite a quiet day in the Cryptoverse.
But I've kept my head buried in the history books and been digging up some crypto gems.
Definitely a lot more fun that looking at the markets at the moment.
Today we have a Cyprus Bank saying Bitcoin is not illegal, alongside Billionaire Buffet saying it is all a 'delusion'.
25 February 2014 - Cyprus Central Bank says Bitcoin is not illegal
The Central Bank of Cyprus announced...
Bitcoin is not illegal, but at the same time neither is it subject to control or regulation.
The Cypriot banking regulator had twice previously issued warnings to consumers, saying there are risks involved in trading in cryptocurrencies, in line with a recent ruling issued by the European Banking Authority (EBA).
The Central Bank's announcement came at the same time as Bitcoin marketers Neo & Bee were launching their business in Cyprus and opening their first branch in Nicosia, the island's capital.
Neo & Bee had sought support from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) but got no response.
Subsequently Neo & Bee turned out to be a scam company run by fraudster Danny Brewster.
25 February 2019 - Buffett says Bitcoin is a ‘delusion’
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett continued his long running dismissal of Bitcoin in an interview on CNBC.
Buffet told interviewer Becky Quick...
Bitcoin has no unique value at all. It is a delusion, basically. It attracts charlatans.
Buffett has been a long-time critic of cryptocurrency. He had previously said Bitcoin was “rat poison squared”.
Project Update
We are now nearly two weeks into the This Day In Crypto History project and I am learning loads.
I have been digging in all sorts of dusty corners of the internet and so far have uncovered almost 350 events across 210 days.
New days are being filled regularly and I expect the whole year will have at least one event within the next few weeks.
@johnspalding has been a great help uncovering events for some difficult days in February.
Anyone else is welcome to join in researching events - 1 HIVE is paid for each accepted event.

I am finding this project totally fascinating.
Not sure if the term 'Crypto History Buff' exists - but I think I am becoming one.
