SOCIAL MEDIA IN THE LINE OF FIRE

With the rise of connectivity, the need for social relation grew to a point where it is essential to the lives of many. Some folks spent 90% of their time online through social media. It has become a new way to absorb one another. The power of this
area is so important, truly the ramifications of last week got me thinking.

In 2017 It was a waste of time to spend time over facebook just to post. Till today I feel the same way. I need a good reason to go to a control social media platform. Centralized social media only benefit the owners and shareholders. After last week debacle, their stocks still kept a high value a long the way. Few percent drop, but still pulling their regular profit. I discovered Steem and I see why and how social media should entertain its followers. Freedom and show respect all along. Discrepancies still exist, but the idea of decentralization is the pillar.

Now we have Hive the decentralized version of the blockchain and you can see the proper way it should grow. Due to no ownership, every member own a piece it comes with inconvenient. As a whole there is no censorship at the base of
the blockchain.

If you do not know you can be censored on Hive when you receive downvote but your post will always be part of the chain. Nobody can delete your post or your account. I think it is a shame that we have to go that far. To go further, there are plenty of communities where each concentrates on a specific idea. Close to my heart, #leofinance is one of them. I do like to post in #sportstalksocial due to my love for sport.

This year alone will be decisive for many to pick and choose where to post. Having social media in a blockchain is a blessing in disguise. I know we want attention. More than ever we want to grow and be a place for the world to see. We need to protect this place.

At first I was bored to write about Leo and Hive everyday. IF we don't who will do it for us? The more we concentrate our effort for the success of this blockchain, more we will move on to be the place for the world to come and chill.

One thing I learned quick from the beginning, This blockchain will never be the ideal place for many. The ones that support it, I am with you. I was looking at Leo tokenomics and there are liquid leo on the market. The price is still affordable but not too long. The ratio favors the stake holders. The more you stake the more you will do your best to protect this community.

What we build here in this blockchain is more learning driven. It is not all the time about money. I think 70% of us just enjoy the camaraderie and knowing someone will comment on your post. It takes time to prepare and post here knowing it will be there forever. Respect is a great piece that principle dictates most of us to adhere. Protect what we care about.
