"In just six days the crime rate has risen from 16% to 19% and you might not know what a bit of difference 3% makes but it is huge! Another 75 SIM was stolen (in game) bringing the total lost income to 150 SIM."
"Riots and violence are not the answer. At this rate, if the crime issue is not resolved, losses could reach as much as 6 HIVE over the next six months. We must swiftly invest in further countermeasures to ensure that both workers and their families feel safe in their community."
The mayor already announced a brand new police detachment on the east side of town near the breweries, but he had implied last week they may be looking into more effective forms of social controls.

One councilman suggested building a new Cinema to reduce the crime rate, but the mayor shouted back that it was too expensive to build. A gofund me was set up, (and if this post earns 3.215 Hive I will build a new Cinema with it.
Local entrepreneur and celebrity Rick Miner told us after the meeting, "I really think it would brighten up the downtown, and liven up the nightlife. That way we don't have to go down the dystopian path. Let's watch some movies!"
