Money isn't everything. Out of all people that could make this claim, I didn't expect to be one of them. But the older I get, the wiser I get, and the more I see of the world, the more I understand the way it works. That doesn't mean I know much more though. A popular saying tells us that the more we know, the more we become aware of how much we don't know. This can translate to how most of us grow up thinking money is super important, and that our goal in life is to make lots of it.

This couldn't be further from the truth. Money is a means to an end. Its all about the worth of it, and what you can acquire with it. Not just the materialistic things, but also the life and comfort you can give yourself and your loved ones. That comfort is all a matter of perspective though. There is a thin line between comfort and just plain luxury. The more money we get the more that line becomes a grey area.

It's easy to lose track of what's important, or what should be important, especially if you have never looked beyond the money. What would that be you ask? What's more important than cold hard cash? Many things I would say. Health, adventure, exploring, travelling, sports. Sure, all of those things do cost money. But that doesn't mean you trade in your life to gain funds. You set up a financial strategy instead. Work those initial hours to get a startup fund, and let that money work for you.

Some of us will be happy with an amount that can simply sustain us. But others might need more. Both are possible, requiring different approaches and strategies. The fact of the matter is that finance is a means to an end. Currency runs the world. But don't let it run your life.
